The Jimmie Hale Mission Young Professional Board is excited to announce its upcoming Pickleball Tournament on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at City Walk Pickleball courts. This highly anticipated community event will bring together players, supporters, and families for a day of purpose-driven fun to support life-changing work serving individuals experiencing homelessness in Birmingham.
The tournament will feature divisions for beginners, intermediate, and advanced players, ensuring a welcoming environment for newcomers and seasoned athletes. Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their skills, connect with fellow pickleball enthusiasts, and enjoy a festive atmosphere. Skill levels include (3.0, 3.5, 4.0,+, OR Open COED Rec Division). Team skill level will be determined by the player with the highest skill level on the team. If you don’t know your skill level or play “for fun”, please sign up for the OPEN COED (Rec) division.

The registration deadline is April 12th, so early sign-up is encouraged to secure your spot. The registration cost is $35. Proceeds from the tournament will aid in Jimmie Hale Mission’s efforts to construct a new Emergency Plus Shelter, a year-round facility providing immediate care, resources, and refuge for some of Birmingham’s most vulnerable residents. Through events like this tournament, the Mission continues its long-standing commitment to ensuring that no one in Birmingham faces the conditions of homelessness alone.
